Your words are precious

A few honest answers, and a chance to get your order refunded. 🎁

Tell us the truth about why you ordered, in your own words.

Write it the way you'd say it out loud to a friend. There's no right answer, only yours.

Everyone who answers is entered into the monthly draw: one person gets her order refunded.

Which one is closest to where you were when you ordered?

This is the first thing I've ever bought for this. Before, I either didn't know what it was, or I just lived with it. I've been down this road: I've tried things before, or shopped around. This one felt different. Neither of those. My reason is my own.

Before the ad, what did you believe was happening to your skin, and what had you decided to do about it? Even if the answer is "nothing, I thought it was just age."

Why now? Which sentence or image in the ad stopped you, or what happened in your life, that turned "someday" into an order?

What have you tried or looked at before this one, and what happened with each? Creams, oils, other "concentrates", retinol, exercise, a dermatologist, even a consult for a lift. When did you stop believing the promises?

A lot of them use the same words. What exactly made you pick this one over the rest, and what would have made you pick them instead? And what did you tell yourself in case this one fails too?

Then tell it your way: what was going on in your life, and what made you order this, now? Start wherever the story really starts.

Where on your body does it bother you most, and in which moment does it hit hardest? Getting dressed, a pool, photos, someone's hands on your arms.

Has anyone ever said anything, to you or near you? The exact words, and what happened next.

Be honest: where are you with it these days? Just noticed it, quietly worried, resigned, angry, hopeful again — your words.

What almost stopped you from ordering, and what made you click anyway?

If nothing changes in the next two years, what are you most afraid of? Not the skin itself: what it would quietly take from your life.

What do you expect Matière to do for you, in plain words? And how will you know it's worked: what will you see, wear, or who will react?

Is there anything about this you've never said out loud?
